In the African continent, Muslims face a variety of significant challenges, including poverty, hunger, and persecution, in addition to a lack of opportunities in various aspects of life. They also encounter difficulties in accessing religious education in many areas in Africa, where there is a shortage of available mosques, making prayer and performing religious rituals more challenging.
Furthermore, some regions lack adequate religious infrastructure such as Quranic schools and Islamic cultural centers, impacting the education of youth and their continuity in learning the religion. Due to limited resources, they resort to using wood as an alternative to paper for reading the Quran.
