EDUCATION: FOR A BETTER FUTURE
Education is one of the fundamental rights of every child.
Here at Hayat Yolu, we believe that education plays a vital role in shaping many different aspects of life, including improving the health and economic conditions of communities. We aim to encourage and support the skills and education needed to create strong, successful, and long-lasting communities. Hayat Yolu maintains its confident stance on the sustainability of educational development plans.
As part of this commitment, we have carried out some activities to provide greater access to quality education in needy communities:
We have rebuilt a school heavily damaged by the war in Syria and made it ready for education. In its new form, students are prepared to continue their education.
In the Gaza Strip, 97% of water resources are unusable. We responded to the need for clean water by opening various school water wells. Accordingly, absentee rates decreased, and students’ health levels improved.
Hayat Yolu continues to help orphans in the Gaza Strip to continue their education and meet their basic needs comfortably.
Safi, studying in the eighth grade at the school rebuilt by Hayat Yolu, says, “Our school was destroyed, leaving us with no place to study. All the children in the neighborhood were forced to remain on the streets. A teacher then brought us together and started teaching us lessons, but we had to sit on the ground and couldn’t meet any of our school needs. However, we were grateful for the opportunity to learn and didn’t want to remain uneducated. Now, we have a new school, and we are very happy. We love learning and are hopeful for a beautiful future”.
Hayat Yolu continues educational projects for our disadvantaged children this year. You can also contribute to our project and be instrumental in a notification on the face of school-age children.
Ali is studying in the seventh grade and lives in one of the poor neighborhoods in Gaza. His mother says, “When the new school year approached, I couldn’t sleep. I was apprehensive that my kids would ask me to get school needs that I couldn’t get because I have seven kids, but five only go to school. Alhamdulillah, now, in every school period, with the support of philanthropists, I can meet the school needs of my children. Alhamdulillah, Hayat Yolu has provided my children’s school needs for three years. What would we do without them?”
Thank you for contributing to our project. Let’s share hope.
