Thanks to the generosity and initiative of the municipality of Uskudar, located on the Asian side of Istanbul, east of the Bosphorus Strait, our association, Hayat Yolu, along with other participants, will take part in the “Charity Bridge from Uskudar to Gaza” exhibition which will run from the 1st to the 10th of December, held at the Baglarbashi Center for Conferences and Culture

Beside our Associatoin, there are other prestigious humanitarian institutions like IHH, Khirat Yardim, Sadakatashi, Yetem Yardim, Tebessum Derngi, Deniz Feneri, and Waqf Al-Ansar. Also, the Red Turkish Crescent and Uskudar Municipality are present. Each institution exhibits Palestinian products and explains their importance in Palestinian culture. Associations will also demonstrate their works and efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause.
Opening and location of the exhibition
The opening program took place in December 1st. It was attended by Uskudar Mayor Hilmi Turkmen, AK Party Istanbul Deputies Tugba Iq Ercan and Yildiz Konal Ornate, as well as NGO managers, AK Party Istanbul Deputy, and a large number of citizens and students. The exhibition will continue daily, while various events, interviews, and activities will be held at the Baglarbashi Center for Conferences and Culture with a focus on Gaza and Palestinian case, along with the continuation of exhibition platforms.
Uskudar mayor’s opening speech
“Here, we are organizing a campaign to assemble the blocks of a charity bridge from Uskudar to Gaza. This is not just an exhibition but a link from our hearts to Gaza. Good luck ” Uskudar mayor Halmi Turkman said, “I would like to thank the NGOs that participated in the work, and our volunteers who supported this beautiful exhibition. This movement of assistance and support began from Uskudar and we want to spread this wave which started by Istanbul people to every corner of our country”.
Hayat Yolu’s Corner at the “Charity Bridge from Uskudar to Gaza”
When you visit Hayat Yolu’s corner at the support show, you can find various handmade and traditional Palestinian products such as garments, ceramics, textiles, and jewelry which symbolize Palestine and the Palestinian through the colors of the Palestinian flag, the shape of the map of Palestine or some expressive phrases. You can also find some popular Palestinian food. By purchasing any of these products, you can show your support for the people of Gaza.
