From Gaziantep in southern Turkey, the convoy that included 27 trucks was launched. The trucks were loaded with relief materials, to reach the refugees in northern Syria in the cities of Idlib and Jarabulus.
The launching ceremony began with the Director of AFAD in Gaziantep, Mr. Aref Mansik speech, who said “The convoy included basic needs such as food parcels, hygiene supplies, fuel, and clothes for children and adults.” He added, “The activities of the Hayat Yolu in the region is of great importance to us, and for that I would like to thank its staff and donors.”
Then, Mr. Imtiaz Ismail, Director of the Gift of the Givers Foundation, gave his speech, in which he said, “Today we are sending food parcels, hygiene items, heaters, charcoal, bedding, blankets and many other basic life necessities to Syria. We will also deliver 200 houses that have been built for the displaced Syrians.” In the Al-Fouah district of Idlib, in cooperation with Hayat Yolu.”
In his speech, Amir TuranShah, Director of the Hayat Yolu, said, “The African continent is known to need help and support. But this assistance from the Gift of the Givers Foundation showed us that this information is incorrect. On the contrary, the Foundation contributes through us to providing support and assistance to the oppressed in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and other countries in the world.”
Then the Ihsan Convoy left to arrive in Syria hours later.
